John Richard Keith "Fuzz" Townshend (born 31 July 1964) is a British drummer, TV presenter of National Geographic Channel's Car SOS [2] (also shown on Channel 4/More4), motoring journalist for Classic Car Weekly, former technical editor of Practical Classics, and mechanic. He is also honorary president of the Triumph Sports Six Club. [3]
The band re-grouped in 2004 featuring mainstay/band leader Lloyd, original Prefects guitarist Alan Apperley, ex-Nightingales Byrchmore and Duffy, plus former PWEI drummer Robert "Fuzz" Townshend. This line-up released four 7-inch singles in 2004/5 before Townshend was replaced by Aaron Moore of Volcano The Bear.

During the Cure for Sanity-era the band were scheduled to play "Dance of the Mad Bastards" on Top of the Pops and recruited Fuzz Townshend to mime the drums (due to previously used drum machine) although they then never did play the song on Top of the Pops. [6] In 1991 the band recruited Townshend as the band's drummer and he agreed.
A music video for "For the Broken Hearted" was posted on YouTube on 29 July 2016; it shows the band doing dance routines and performing in a garden and inside a house. [10] The EP For the Broken Hearted was released on 5 August 2016, and includes "For the Broken Hearted", "Too Far to Fall" and "Indestructible". [ 11 ]
The promotional video originally filmed for "Piece of Sky" was re-worked (notably with all shots of Rob Jones being removed) and ultimately used for their next single, "Circlesquare", which was written on the same day as "Can't Shape Up"; May 9, 1989. "Can't Shape Up" was originally much slower and played on acoustic guitar with harmonica.
