NITI Aayog has started a new initiative on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi called NITI Lectures: Transforming India.The aim of this initiative is to invite globally reputed policy makers, experts, administrators to India to share their knowledge, expertise, experience in policy making and good governance with Indian counterparts.
The content is available in English, Hindi and Urdu. The platform offers a slew of educational resources, including NCERT textbooks for classes 1-12, audio-visual resources by NCERT, periodicals, supplements, teacher training modules and a variety of other print and non-print materials.
The initiative is being implemented in 500 Aspirational Blocks across 329 districts in the country, selected by an Inter-Ministerial Committee in consultation with state governments. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the success of Aspirational Districts Programme "became the basis of the Aspirational Blocks programme".
