Merle Calvin Ricklefs AM FAHA (17 July 1943 – 29 December 2019) was an American-born Australian scholar of the history and current affairs of Indonesia. [1] [2]Ricklefs was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on 17 July 1943 [3] and died on 29 December 2019, aged 76.
