But you can get foods like Almo and Schesir that are 98% - 100% meat or fish, and aren't more expensive than Sheba, because an average sized cat eats two little cans or pouches a day. If you buy Sheba, you're paying for all their advertising, not for quality food. Aug 6, 2006. #13.
Most people here recommend rotating wet foods for this reason. It's also good to have a variety of brands your cat will eat in case of recalls. If your cat ONLY eats Sheba and then it is recalled and you can't find it anymore, you want to have a back up that your cat will accept. Nov 2, 2017. Thread Starter.
One of my cats is a picky eater and will only eat Sheba, it's either that or he will starve himself plus he has digestive issues and Sheba works fir him. It's not the best food but better than nothing. I live in the UK so dont know if the ingredients are the same as you buy. Nov 11, 2018.

Neither are bad really, and the fancy feast should be the classics, which are pate style rather than the shreds or chunky, the classic pates are grain free which is a good thing. Sheba is okay too, compare their labels and the first 5 ingredients are what counts. Sep 12, 2016.
They are going to be tossing boxes quickly, stacking boxing with 50lb of litter on top of boxes with 50 packs of sheba. Blame fed ex for being rough, chewy for not padding fragile items. Either way, it's something that comes up on occasion when you order from large companies like chewy, amazon, walmart. Apr 15, 2021.
4. Purraise. 1. So I have an 8 week old kitten and I've been giving him a mix of wet food and dry food. Ive been trying different brands such as Rachel Ray Nutrish, Petco's Soulistic, and I wanted to try Nature's Variety Instinct. Of course, being a student, I'm on a budget and really can't afford to give my kitten the best cat food every day.
What I noticed about these foods has me dumbfounded. The cat left some of the Special Kitty food as well as two different flavors of the Sheba food on his plate (outside of course). While the flies swarmed around all three of these foods, within 30-60 minutes they had laid clusters of eggs in only one of them: the poultry flavor Sheba.
Some people find good deals on canned cat food at various types of dollar stores, too, though I've seen some where everything costs a dollar, even cans of food that cost less at the grocery store! Some Cat Site members have also mentioned getting good deals at Big Lots but I've never found any good cat food there.
Location. Georgia, USA. My cats love Sheba pates and the cuts too! They may be hungrier on the cuts as they have less calories than the pates. I looked on the Chewy.com website and the roasted chicken pate is 45 kcals per serving while the savory chicken cuts is 32 kcals per serving. Hope that helps!
Which is to say, their canned cat food isn't half bad. It does have a lot of meat by-products, of course, but no artificial colors or flavors, no added sugar, and minimal grain ingredients (some flavors have rice flour, but it's not too high on the list). Better than 9 Lives, IMO. But their dry food is awful. I won't feed it to my ferals.
