Using Keller’s Finale conversion method requires the full version of Finale ($600 or $350 academic pricing) or a copy of Finale NotePad 2006 or 2007. These earlier versions of NotePad were available as a free download until the fall of 2008 when MakeMusic pulled them from their site.

Finale NotePad is an application with music notation for creating a guitar tablature, composing a piano solo, or even arranging a jazz combo. Finale NotePad is indeed a very useful tool for instrument transposition for creative musicians.
There is a free version available (not portable). I use Finale much differently than someone using Lilypad would. My latest project is a 17 line score that is about 20 pages long and will have 17 extracted parts.
