Check your account email client. One of the top reasons a user can't find their emails is due to settings from a third-party email client such as Outlook or the Mail app on your phone. Chances are the settings in the program are set to delete the emails from the AOL server each time you check your mail.
To access your AOL Mail account on these apps, you'll need to generate and use an app password. An app password is a randomly generated code that gives a non-AOL app permission to access your AOL account. You'll only need to provide this code once to sign in to your 3rd party email app.
Get answers to your AOL Mail, login, Desktop Gold, AOL app, password and subscription questions. Find the support options to contact customer care by email, chat, or phone number.
Click the Email Accounts button. Look for the email account you want to update and double-click on it. Remove and re-enter your AOL Mail password. (Note: If you use an app password for Outlook, you may need to create a new app password. See the info below.) Check the status. When it says "Completed," click Close.
