The main campground offers several waterfront campsites. The other campground is west of the lake and is designed for larger recreational vehicles. Highway 927 provides access to the park and the resorts. On the East Trout Lake part of the park is Pine Grove Resort. It features cabin rentals and a campground for accommodations. There is also a convenience store, boat rentals, boat launch, public showers, and washrooms. [7] [8] Eagle Bay Resort is situated on the bay between the lakes.
Tippecanoe River is a state park in Pulaski County, Indiana, United States.It is located 58 miles (93 km) south-southwest of South Bend, Indiana.It was formed in 1943 when the National Park Service gifted the land to Indiana's Department of Conservation land to form a state park; other land along the river becoming the Winamac Fish and Wildlife Area.
In the last decades of the 19th century, the area was a resort with a forty-room inn. In the 1930s a man named Joseph Frisz acquired the land in order to protect it and purchased more land around. His heirs sold the land in 1947 to the holding company "Save the Shades", who in turn gave the land to the state to create Indiana's 15th state park.
