Gabriel Alejandro Silva is an American neuroscientist and bioengineer. He is a Professor of Bioengineering and Faculty Endowed Scholar in Engineering at the Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) as well as the Founding Director of the Center for Engineered Natural Intelligence (CENI) at UCSD.
Mobley was also associated with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research for three years as a research neurologist. His active duty military service ended in 1985, though he remained a reservist until 1994. [3] Mobley taught at the University of California, San Francisco until 1997, when he returned to Stanford as a faculty member. [4]
He served as an honorary consultant in psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital, London from 1985 – 1988. In 1988, he joined University of California, San Diego as professor of psychiatry and chief of psychiatry at the San Diego Veterans Affairs Hospital. Currently he is an adjunct professor at the University of California San Diego. [5]
