Oganesson is a synthetic chemical element; it has symbol Og and atomic number 118. It was first synthesized in 2002 at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna , near Moscow, Russia, by a joint team of Russian and American scientists.
Oganesson (118 Og) is a synthetic element created in particle accelerators, and thus a standard atomic weight cannot be given. Like all synthetic elements, it has no stable isotopes . The first and only isotope to be synthesized was 294 Og in 2002 and 2005; it has a half-life of 0.7 milliseconds.
Oganesson in the periodic table; Hydrogen: Helium: ... like standard atomic weight, are read from a central list. This way, enwiki has the same values everywhere ...
Thus element 164 with 7d 10 9s 0 is noted by Fricke et al. to be analogous to palladium with 4d 10 5s 0, and they consider elements 157–172 to have chemical analogies to groups 3–18 (though they are ambivalent on whether elements 165 and 166 are more like group 1 and 2 elements or more like group 11 and 12 elements, respectively). Thus ...
Oganesson is expected to be rather like silicon or tin in group 14: [53] a reactive element with a common +4 and a less common +2 state, [54] [55] which at room temperature and pressure is not a gas but rather a solid semiconductor. Empirical / experimental testing will be required to validate these predictions.
This page uses the meta infobox {{Infobox isotopes (meta)}} for the element isotopes infobox.. This infobox contains the table of § Main isotopes, and the § Standard atomic weight.

Oganesson A minor actinide is an actinide , other than uranium or plutonium , found in spent nuclear fuel . The minor actinides include neptunium (element 93), americium (element 95), curium (element 96), berkelium (element 97), californium (element 98), einsteinium (element 99), and fermium (element 100).
