Sarah Webb was born in February 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was the fourth of five children born to Samuel Stone Butler and Carolyn Horton.Webb developed an early interest in art and by the age of twelve was taking classes in general art and oil painting.
Josephine Webb was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. [1] From a young age, she showed a talent and passion for art. She attended Alexandra College [2] and the Queen’s Institute on Molesworth Street in Dublin; she won two silver medals there for drawing. In 1878, she studied at the Académie Julian in Paris.
