Boo Moon is a 1954 theatrical cartoon short released in 3D as a Stereotoon. [1] It was produced by Famous Studios for the Stereotoon series featuring Casper the Friendly Ghost and distributed by Paramount Pictures. [3]
The show consisted of Famous Studios-produced cartoons from 1950 to 1962.There were 223 theatrical cartoons released during that period, and only 165 cartoons were included in their full format, although the original theatrical titles were changed when Harvey assumed ownership from Famous.
After Famous Studios succeeded Fleischer Studios in 1942, they revived the Spunky character alone for three animated shorts in their Noveltoons series: the patriotic Yankee Doodle Donkey (1944), in a supporting role to Casper the Friendly Ghost in Boo Kind To Animals (1955), and in a simplified drawing style in Okey Dokey Donkey (1958).
