Gopal Krishna is a 1979 Hindi fantasy film produced by Tarachand Barjatya and directed by Vijay Sharma. Based on the Bhagavata Purana, it tells the story of the Hindu deity Krishna from his birth until the slaying of his demon uncle Kamsa. The film stars Sachin Pilgaonkar and Zarina Wahab in the lead roles.

Meera is a 1979 Hindi language film by Gulzar. The film is based on the life of Meera, a Hindu saint-poet who renounced princely comforts in pursuit of her love for Lord Krishna. [1] The film did not perform well at the Indian box office, although it received critical acclaim. [2] [3]
Jayshree was born into a Konkani-speaking family at Kanasgiri (Sadashivgad) near Karwar in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India. [6] She married Bal Dhuri, a theatre actor best known for his portrayal of Dashratha in Ramanand Sagar's TV serial, Ramayana (where Jayashree herself played his wife, Kaushalya).
