Jane and Finch is a neighbourhood located in the northwest end of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the district of North York.Centred at the intersection of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West, the area is roughly bounded by Highway 400 to the west, Black Creek to the east, Sheppard Avenue to the south, and Steeles Avenue to the north.
Mr. Jane and Finch is a 2019 Canadian documentary film, directed by Ngardy Conteh George. [1] The film is a portrait of Winston LaRose, a longtime community activist in Toronto's Jane and Finch neighbourhood whose campaign for a Toronto City Council seat in the 2018 Toronto municipal election was upended by Doug Ford's decision to slash the size of the city council in half mid-campaign.
