The original version of "Carnival" on Vultures 1 used a sample from Black Sabbath's live performance of "Iron Man" from 1983. Shortly after the album's release, Ozzy Osbourne stated that he had refused to clear the sample for West on grounds that he was "an antisemite and has caused untold heartache to many".
