Simone Nicole Jean Lahbib Ould Cheikl (/ l ə ˈ b iː b /; born 6 February 1965) [1] is a Scottish actress. She is known for her roles as Helen Stewart in the ITV drama series Bad Girls, DCI Alex Fielding in the ITV crime series Wire in the Blood and Katy Lewis in the BBC soap opera EastEnders.

In 2002, she co-starred with Robson Green in Wire in the Blood, playing Detective Inspector Carol Jordan. She stayed with the series until 2005 when she was replaced by Simone Lahbib. Further film roles include an appearance in an adaptation of Kingsley Amis's Lucky Jim, and in David Kane's Born Romantic.
The first episode of the television series Wire in the Blood, The Mermaids Singing, was broadcast on 14 November 2002 and co-starred Hermione Norris as Carol Jordan. Norris remained until series 4. Thereafter, the lead detective working with Hill was D.I. Alex Fielding, an ambitious single mother played by Simone Lahbib.
