The Mahindra Thar is a compact, four-wheel drive, off-road two-door SUV manufactured by Indian automaker Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. It was introduced in October 4, 2010 and replaced the Mahindra Major. It is the latest iteration in Mahindra's line of licensed CJ-3B Willys Jeep based off-roading oriented vehicles.
The Mahindra Roxor is a 4x4 off-road utility vehicle assembled by Mahindra Automotive North America (MANA) since 2018. It is based on a variant of the Mahindra Thar, produced and sold in the Indian market since 2010. [3] Mahindra has made Jeep-like off-road vehicles since a 1947 contract with Willys to build them for the Indian market. [4] [5]
The XUV700 is offered with one petrol engine and one diesel engine option. The former is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged mStallion unit which is tuned to produce 200 PS (197 hp; 147 kW) and 380 N⋅m (38.7 kg⋅m; 280 lb⋅ft). The diesel option is a 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHawk turbodiesel.
It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels via a transfer case. The Major has a top speed of around 120 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in around 10 seconds. The Mahindra Major is known for its off-road capabilities, thanks to its high ground clearance and four-wheel-drive system.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is available with three engine options, two 1.2 L turbocharged petrol three-cylinders or a 1.5 L turbodiesel four-cylinder. [ 10 ] [ 11 ] [ 12 ] The base engine is a port-injected version of the petrol three-cylinder which produces 82 kW (111 PS; 110 hp) and 200 N⋅m (20.4 kg⋅m; 148 lb⋅ft) of torque.
The diesel powertrain comes with two states of tune, one churning out 132 PS (130 hp; 97 kW) power and 300 N⋅m (221 lb⋅ft; 31 kg⋅m) torque and another 175 PS (129 kW; 173 hp) power and 400 N⋅m (295 lb⋅ft; 41 kg⋅m) torque (380 N.m for manual variants). The SUV is also equipped with a shift on-fly 4-wheel drive system.
Mahindra officially revealed the name of XUV300 in December 2018. [4] The SUV is wider and taller than Tivoli in dimensions but is made shorter than the counterpart to fit into sub-four-meter segment. [5] It also resembles its sibling XUV500 in looks with similar projector headlamps and DRLs, front grille and the wheel arches. [2]

The W6 includes a 6-inch monochrome infotainment display, two airbags, ABS with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and disc brakes on all wheels. The W8 which can be specified in two or four-wheel drive.
