The B platform or B-body was the name of two of Chrysler's midsize passenger car platforms – at first rear-wheel drive, from 1962 through 1979; and the later, unrelated front-wheel drive platform, used by the Eagle Premier / Dodge Monaco, from 1988 through 1992.

The Chrysler F platform was a rear wheel drive automobile platform used by Chrysler motors from 1976 to 1980. It was replaced by the nearly identical M platform . There were two wheelbases: 108.7 in for 2-door models, and 112.7 in for four-doors.
The M-body was also the successor to the short-lived R-body, as the Chrysler New Yorker and Plymouth Gran Fury moved to it following the R-body's demise in 1981. The rear wheel drive D platform was a body on frame chassis used only by Imperial from 1957 until 1966, (although Chrysler would not use such nomenclature until 1964). The standard chassis had a 129.0 inches (3.28 m) wheelbase and the extended wheelbase chassis had a wheelbase of 149.5 inches (3.80 m).
It was to have been the first body style in a series of three, along with a four-door station wagon and a two-door coupe. After Chrysler purchased Renault's stake (46%) in AMC and all other outstanding stock (54%), the wagon and coupe body styles were canceled as was a planned Premier DL model featuring a five-speed manual gearbox.
