Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha (lower house of the Indian Parliament) constituencies in Maharashtra state in western India.This constituency was created on 19 February 2008 as a part of the implementation of the Presidential notification based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted on 12 July 2002. The constituency comprises parts of Thane taluka that is Ward nos. 6 & 7 of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Ward nos. 6 & 7 of Thane Municipal Corporation, parts of Kalyan taluka that is ward nos. 31 to 34, 51 to 56, 66, 67 and 69 to 77 of Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation and Nilje and Hedutane sajas of Kalyan revenue circle. Gaikwad won from Kalyan East Assembly constituency representing Bharatiya Janata Party in the 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election. She polled 81,516 votes and defeated her nearest rival, Mahesh Dashrath Gaikwad, an independent politician, by a margin of 26,408 votes.
