Founded in 1854 as St. Kunegunda parish it became St. Joseph's when the present church was built. It was technically always a German national parish and was closed in 1999. It is now part of a fundamentalist Christian ministry named One Eighty. St. Mary's Church: 1867 built 1984 NRHP-listed 516, 519, 522, and 525 Fillmore St.
The congregation of St. James the Less began withholding diocesan payments in protest over the ordination of women. After the bishop refused to renew the preaching license of assistant the Rev. Arthur Willis in 1999, the congregation attempted to form a nonprofit corporation and transfer the church property into it.
Christ with a Staff or St James the Less is a painting by a follower of Rembrandt, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was also known as Christ in 1854 and exhibited in 1933 as The Pilgrim. [1] The picture is in Rembrandt's style of the 1660s and may have been painted in his workshop. [1]

St. James the Less Roman Catholic Church, also known as St. James and St. John's Roman Catholic Church, is a historic Roman Catholic church located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States and was one of the earliest neighborhood parishes established in the central city (1833).
