Quinlan Independent School District is a public school district based in Quinlan, Texas . In addition to Quinlan, the district serves the towns of West Tawakoni and Hawk Cove, most of Union Valley, as well as rural areas in southern Hunt County. A small portion of northern Kaufman County also lies within the district.

Quinlan is a rural city in the southern part of Hunt County, Texas, United States, within the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census , it had a population of 1,414. It is 5 miles (8 km) west of Lake Tawakoni .
The 36,700-acre (14,900 ha) territory of Boles ISD brushes along Lake Tawakoni. The Boles ISD campus is near the intersection of Texas State Highway 34 and Farm to Market Road 2101, 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Quinlan and 35 miles (56 km) east of Dallas. The Texas A&M University-Commerce is 33 miles (53 km) away from the Boles campus. [8]

Kemp Independent School District is a public school district based in Kemp, Texas . In addition to Kemp, the district serves southern Kaufman County and northwest Henderson County, including parts of Seven Points. In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. [3]
