When Optimus Prime is brainwashed by Quintessa, Optimus fights on the ship with Bumblebee, the latter regaining his voice, enabling Optimus to remember him and his allies. Bumblebee participates in the final battle on Stonehenge to prevent Quintessa's plans to bring Cybertron on Earth, in addition to kill Unicron on that planet as well.

It was the first Transformers series to feature Bumblebee as the main protagonist rather than Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots and the main protagonist in most of the other series (though Optimus appears in a semi-regular role throughout Robots in Disguise).
The series began with a three-part movie-length episode called "Transform and Roll Out!". Stellar cycles (years) after the Autobots won the great war for Cybertron against the Decepticons, an Autobot maintenance crew led by Optimus Prime and consisting of Ratchet, Bulkhead, Prowl, and Bumblebee discover the legendary AllSpark buried on an asteroid.
Much later, Optimus and Bumblebee fend off Starscream and his team of Seekers, after which, Optimus expresses his regret over dooming Cybertron but resolves to return the AllSpark back to the planet to revitalise it. Having learnt from the three memories concerning Optimus Prime, Bumblebee heads off with Teletraan-X to rescue Windblade.
