Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr. (born 20 May 1983), popularly known by the initialism Jr NTR, is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Telugu cinema. NTR first appeared as a child artiste in the film Brahmarshi Viswamitra, written, directed and starred by his grandfather N. T. Rama Rao in 1991. [1] He went on to play the titular role as god Rama in the 1997 mythological film Ramayanam. Rao made his debut as an adult lead actor in 2001 with the film Ninnu Choodalani.
In 1993, NTR married Lakshmi Parvathi, a Telugu writer. [32] The marriage was childless and lasted until NTR's death less than three years later.
