De La Salle University (Filipino: Pamantasang De La Salle or Unibersidad ng De La Salle; Spanish: Universidad de La Salle), also referred to as DLSU, De La Salle or La Salle, is a private, Catholic coeducational research university run by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools with main campus in Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila, Philippines.
Even before De La Salle College moved to its present location at Taft Avenue in Malate, Manila, the school already had its own chapel. Its first chapel was opened on March 19, 1912, a year after the school opened its doors to 100 students in Calle Nozaleda, Paco, Manila. When the school transferred to Taft Avenue, it needed to build a new chapel.

St. La Salle Hall is an H-shaped four-story academic building built in the Neoclassical style in the Philippines. [4] It was built from 1920 to 1924 to serve as the new campus of De La Salle College (now De La Salle University) due to a lack of space in the previous campus in Paco, Manila, and to accommodate its increasing student population.
