Do not move or rename a page by copying/pasting its content, because doing so fragments the edit history. The move option will appear below the toolbar, under 'Actions'. A common example: performing a requested move. Note that the intended article name is entered without any prefixes.
The terms "rename" and "move" mean the same thing in this context. They just refer to different models for picturing the operation: rename: keep the page but give it another name; the page history is now attached to the new name; a new page with the old name is created which redirects to the new name and whose page history records the renaming.
If you still wish to rename the page, go to it, click the Tools drop-down menu at the top on the old vector legacy look (near the View history button and Watchlist star), and choose Move. On the new vector look, simply click Move under Tools in the right margin. You can then specify a new name for the article.
Do not use let scriptNameSettingName = 'value here'; in the common.js file. If the user forgets the setting, you may get undeclared variable errors. If you want your user script to write and save configuration settings while it is running, you may want to have it write to its own .js file in the user's userspace.

Page-dependent magic words will change or show information about the current page, even if the word is from a template, though in most cases, this is the desired effect. If I insert {{exampletemplate}} and it says {{PAGENAME}}, I will see "Magic words for beginners" even though it is from "Template:example template".

Magic words (including parser functions, variables and behavior switches) are features of wiki markup that give instructions to Wikipedia's underlying MediaWiki software. For example, magic words can suppress or position the table of contents, disable indexing by external search engines, and produce output dynamically based on the current page or on user-defined conditional logic.
