Fraunces Tavern, at Pearl (left) and Broad Streets. Pearl Street is a street in the Financial District in Lower Manhattan, running northeast from Battery Park to the Brooklyn Bridge with an interruption at Fulton Street, where Pearl Street's alignment west of Fulton Street shifts one block south of its alignment east of Fulton Street, then turning west and terminating at Centre Street.
Girl with a Pierced Eardrum is a 2014 mural by anonymous street artist Banksy, on the wall of a building in Hanover Place, Spike Island, Bristol, England. Appearing overnight on 20 October 2014, it is a parody of Girl with a Pearl Earring, c. 1665 by Johannes Vermeer, instead replacing the pearl earring with an existing security alarm. [3]
Fraunces Tavern is a museum and restaurant in New York City, situated at 54 Pearl Street at the corner of Broad Street in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan.The location played a prominent role in history before, during, and after the American Revolution.
The roughly trapezoidal [4] site covers 32,000 square feet (3,000 m 2), measuring 247 feet (75 m) on Pine and Cedar Streets by 116 feet (35 m) on Pearl Street. [5] The terrain slopes downward to the east, toward Pearl Street, so that there is an upper lobby (accessed from Pine Street) and a lower lobby (accessed from Pearl Street).
The courthouse is 27 stories tall. It is made of granite, marble, and oak.It includes public art from Raymond Kaskey and Maya Lin.The courthouse was designed by the architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox and was built under a design-build contract with developer BPT Properties with core and shell construction by Lehrer McGovern Bovis and interior construction by Structure Tone Inc.
Pavement milling will close stretches of Pearl Street for most of the week, beginning May 20. Plan for detours and extra travel time.
