Cold Cuts (also known as part of Hot Hitz/Kold Kutz) is an unreleased album of outtakes by Paul McCartney and Wings. [1]The first iteration of the album was planned to be released in 1975 and the project was revisited several times over the years, changing the tracklist and adding overdubs to the tracks, until it was abandoned permanently in the late 1980s.
Originally, McCartney wanted to release an outtakes album called Cold Cuts, on which he had been working for over ten years. But his manager recommended that releasing a best-of compilation would have been a better idea. So when All the Best! was released the Cold Cuts album was permanently abandoned. [10]

Coldcut are an English electronic music duo composed of Matt Black and Jonathan More. Credited as pioneers for pop sampling in the 1980s, [1] Coldcut are also considered the first stars of UK electronic dance music [2] due to their innovative style, which featured cut-up samples of hip-hop, soul, funk, spoken word and various other types of music, as well as video and multimedia.
Wings regrouped in October 1980 to finish off songs for the planned Cold Cuts album, [137] a compilation that McCartney had suggested when CBS sought to recover part of its financial losses from Back to the Egg. [138] [nb 12] The reunion with Wings was short-lived and the band discontinued upon Laine's departure in April 1981. [140]
