Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion was a horror-suspense-romance anthology comic book series published by DC Comics from 1971 to 1974, a companion to Secrets of Sinister House. Both series were originally inspired by the successful ABC soap opera , Dark Shadows , which ran from 1966 to 1971.

Secrets of Sinister House was a horror-suspense anthology comic book series published by DC Comics from 1972-1974, a companion to Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion. Both series were originally inspired by the successful ABC soap opera Dark Shadows , which ran from 1966 to 1971.
It debuted in October 1996, published by the Vertigo imprint of American company DC Comics and ran for 25 issues, followed by a two-issue miniseries called House of Secrets: Facade by the same creative team in 2001. Although its title is based on the House of Secrets series that ran from 1956 to 1976, it is an otherwise unrelated series. [1]

The story is written to the tune of Grim Grinning Ghosts. "Lenore Meets the Haunted Mansion" written and illustrated by Roman Dirge. Lenore, whose house is next to the Gracey Mansion, is awakened in the middle of the night by the partying going on next door. She heads over to the mansion, only to throw the entire order of things out of whack.
