The island has a 2-kilometre (1.2 mi) coast line in the central part of Montenegro Adriatic coast line. It is situated to the south of Budva between Pržno and Petrovac na Moru. The pink sandy beaches of Sveti Stefan, Miločer Beach, and Queen's Beach are part of the coastline. The island encompasses an area of 12,400 m 2 (133,000 sq ft). [2]
Kotor is the administrative centre of Kotor municipality, which includes the towns of Risan and Perast, as well as many small hamlets around the Bay of Kotor, and has a population of 21,916. [ 22 ] The town of Kotor itself has 1,360 inhabitants, but the administrative limits of the town encompass only the area of the Old Town.
Tivat Airport is located in the Mrčevac settlement, on the southern outskirts of Tivat urban area, 7 km (4 mi) from the Kotor city center, and 20 km (12 mi) north-west of Budva. The passenger terminal is served by Adriatic Highway (E65/E80).
