Following the end of the 2023 Kansas high school softball season, coaches have voted on the all-league teams. Varsity Kansas has compiled the complete teams for all of the leagues in the Wichita area.
Since its opening in 1992, Trusler has seen many improvements. In 2006, a clubhouse was built. In 2009, Glennen Field received artificial turf for the infield, [3] with softball receiving the same in 2014. [4] In 2014, nearly $400,000 was donated to improved dugouts and build a new ticket booth. [5]
The idea is opposed by schools in the state's three major metropolitan areas (Kansas City, Topeka and Wichita), since the vast majority of 5A and 6A schools are in those areas. Of the 36 Class 6A schools in 2023-24, 16 were located in Johnson County, the state's most populous county with approximately 21 percent of Kansas's population.

The Kansas Jayhawks softball team represents the University of Kansas in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Big 12 Conference.
