Jeff Nichols (born December 7, 1978) is an American film director and screenwriter. His films are characterized by their Southern United States backdrop and ambience. He is also known for his longstanding collaboration with actor Michael Shannon , who has appeared in all of his feature films to date.
Nichols School was founded in 1892 by William Nichols. The school was founded as an all-boys school with its campus on Amherst Street in North Buffalo. After many years of remaining an all boys school, it joined with Nottingham Academy, an all-girls school, becoming a co-ed Middle and Upper School.
Nichols later became a key character animator on Disney's The Little Mermaid, released in 1989, and The Rescuers Down Under, released in 1990. [1] In addition to her work as an animation director, Nichols became a sequence director for the 1985 television movie, The Glo Friends Save Christmas, and Bigfoot and the Muscle Machines. [1]
