The Montenegro Stock Exchange (MNSE) (Montenegrin: Montenegroberza AD) is a stock exchange located in Podgorica, Montenegro.It is Montenegro's only stock exchange. The MNSE was founded 1993, and is a member of the World Federation of Exchanges, Federation of European Securities Exchanges and Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges.
The 2007 recession was difficult for the Podgorica Aluminium Plant, which was initially built in 1969 and was the biggest single contributor to the Montenegrin gross domestic product. The plant, first sold to Oleg Deripaska 's En+ Group in 2005, declared bankruptcy in 2013 and was sold to local magnate Veselin Pejovic 's Uniprom in 2014.
The company was founded in 1995, and begun its operations with a single supermarket in Blok 5 neighbourhood of Podgorica.The company has been expanding its retail network ever since, and as of 2012, its food retail market share in Montenegro stands at around 25%.
