Wolf's Head is a brand of motor oil. The company that first manufactured Wolf's Head was founded in Reno, Pennsylvania in 1879, when crude oil was being distilled into lamp oil. The company later began producing engine lubrications and numerous blends of motor oil. [ 1 ]
The company also owns the Wolf's Head brand. [4] The company is currently run by the Barkett family. The Barketts entered the motor oil business by buying Petroleum Packers, a company in Port Tampa Bay, in 1977. In 1997 the Barketts acquired Amalie Oil from Sun Oil Company and merged Petroleum Packers into Amalie. [3]
