Co op campaigns, survival arenas/horde modes, and tons of deathmatch maps as well if you are into that. The game is 8 years old and people are still making stuff on there. The loading times can be a bit annoying, and some stuff isnt fully optimized, but its definitely worth checking out if you are into co op fps stuff. Suggesting a game. 1 1.
Mechwarrior 5 - action on giant robots, not specificly designed for 2 players, but still fun to play. left4dead/left 4 dead 2, warhammer vermentide - action games designed around 4 players, but is fun to play in duo, rest player slots filled with bots. Nine parchments - very fun twinstick action game. Obscure - resident evil clone designed ...
The best co-op games on PC never go away, so it makes sense to just update the list every six months to a year. There are new people searching for exactly this topic all the time. Of course 95% of the rest of their content is trash. My personal top 5 recently have been: Divinity original sin 2.
Pit People: Tactical RPG by the makers of Castle Crashers. War Mongrels: WWII strategy shooter. Elden Ring: Third person open world RPG (Recommended to play with 'seamless co op mod') Code Vein: Dark Souls style game with anime graphics. Dark Souls 1+2+3: Open world Action RPG with focus on difficulty and exploration.
With that said, i did mention that the idea for that 1v1 twist was good, and a game that fucking nails it is Divinity Original Sin 2 (if you play it co-op that is). The game tells you from early on that only one of you godwoken (that meaning your playable characters+companions) can ascend to Divinity.
Detonation Racing -- 4p bluetooth. EarthNight -- 2p couch co-op. Fledgling Heroes -- 2p couch co-op. Hanx101 Trivia -- 1v1 pass & play. HyperBrawl Tournament -- 4p couch co-op. My Bowling 3D+ -- 4p pass & play. NBA 2K23 Arcade Edition -- 1v1 couch. Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon -- 4p couch co-op.
Streets of Rogue is a personal favorite. Shredders revenge and Minecraft dungeons. Elden Ring seamless co-op is the most fun I've had gaming in the last 10, maybe 15 years. If you like shooters - Remnant/Remnant 2, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Back 4 Blood, Dead Space 3, Resident Evil 5, halo mcc.
Left4Dead 2. 7 Days to Die. Terraria. As to "more in depth", the co-op game with more depth than any other is by far Factorio. Still with good depth but very different Divinity 2, and also Terraria. But all those games here are pretty fun.
Champions of Norrath and Champions Return to Arms, especially if you play it in 4 player co-op. It's the spiritual successor to the Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance games (also on the PS2), but a little bit more smooth and with player count doubled. Absolutely fantastic time. Battlefront 2 and ratchet: deadlocked are a lot of fun.
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is another fantastic couch co-op game. Deep Rock Galactic is a glaring omission from the online co-op section though. I thoroughly enjoyed Aliens: Fireteam Elite and wish it was more popular, but DRG is the current king of co-op shooters. Reply reply. BBQsandw1ch.
