Czech Radio launched a new logo in 2013, featuring the letter R with stripes, at a cost of 2.2 million Czech koruna. [13] The organisation marked 90 years of existence in 2013, celebrating the occasion with a 48-hour broadcast including 90 interviews interspersed with news reports every half-hour. [ 3 ]
Television was introduced in Czechoslovakia in 1953. Experimental projects with DVB-T started in 2000. Finally on 21 October 2005, multiplex A (DVB-T) was launched with three channels of Czech Television and one of TV Nova and radio channels of Czech Radio.

Czech Television operates two terrestrial public broadcast channels: mainstream CT1 and cultural channel CT2, while CT24 (for news) is a digital public channel. [2] The first national commercial licence was granted to Television Nova in 1993. The TV station soon gained a dominant position on the television market managing to keep it so far.
Its headquarters in the Prague intelligence center is equipped with very modern technical facilities. The station's studio covers almost 400 m 2, the space is dominated by the presenter's desk with a built-in screen. The studio is decorated in blue, red and white. It is the only one in the Czech Republic with two floors. [3]
It is also carried on Czech cable-TV providers and digital terrestrial services. Broadcasts parts of major world, European, and Czech sports events (i.e. Olympic Games, World Cups or European Championships) are broadcast here. ČT Sport HD is the high-definition version of ČT Sport, launched on 3 May 2012 and replaced ČT HD.
Users had the option to play one of the archive programs or watch a live broadcast, but it had to be an original production of Czech Television. There were three different video qualities to choose from: low, medium and TV. TV quality video had a bit rate of 1.5 Mb/s.
