Wishful thinking would be that the Challenger convertible would be equally sturdy and reliable to drive like the coupe, regardless of what engine is under the hood. R/T Redline Trim Package, Mopar Scat Package #1, WeatherTech Floor Mats, Challenger Door Sills.
My first Challenger R/T was purchased in May 2009. Bought my second Chrysler 300 Limited for the "Mrs" in 2012. Then I bought my second Challenger Scat Pack in Sept 2016. (I'm still a Chevy-Guy, but mostly the Classics). Convertible tops on the Modern Challenger look good, but I'm over it now. We tried & tried to get the Mopar Exec's to put it ...
I am new to this forum but I have something that might peak some interest, I am sure everyone has heard about the Drop Top customs convertibles and the Last Call editions. My dad recently purchased something pretty unique. 2023 Last call Shakedown wide body (black 1/500) but it is a convertible and it is the only shakedown convertible.
Not my cup of tea...especially cutting up a Demon 170...only Challenger convertible I would even consider would be a '71 Indy 500 Pace Car. 2019 T/A 392, Surf Blue Pearl, Scat Pack, T/A Plus Package, Dynamics Package, Driver Convenience Group, 8-speed automatic, power sunroof, BF Goodrich G-Force 275's, Eibach lowering kit, Modern Spare Tire ...
The Challenger looks great as a convertible but a little work still needs to be done about the look when the top is up. I have been researching buying a 2023 Challenger convertible or going pre-owned and then converting it. Given it’s the last year of the Challenger I suspect it’s going to be a good value long term. I’m totally sold on the convertible. I guess Dodge calls it the Droptop.
It's really fun to watch the attention it gets. It started as a 2012 Challenger SRT-8 and was converted into an AFR 'Cuda Stage III Supershaker (supercharged) car. It has just over 12,000 miles and has never been raced or tracked. I simply wanted something unique. The convertible top was done a little over 3 years ago by the best...
This is why the challenger looks stupid as a convertible. They would need to cut the hump towards the back down and flatten it out to make it look good (renderings do look decent), but it would make it even less safe. Convertible challenger mods are already stupidly unsafe due to removing so much structural support.
