I have been researching buying a 2023 Challenger convertible or going pre-owned and then converting it. Given it’s the last year of the Challenger I suspect it’s going to be a good value long term. I’m totally sold on the convertible. I guess Dodge calls it the Droptop.

I am new to this forum but I have something that might peak some interest, I am sure everyone has heard about the Drop Top customs convertibles and the Last Call editions. My dad recently purchased something pretty unique. 2023 Last call Shakedown wide body (black 1/500) but it is a convertible and it is the only shakedown convertible.

The Challenger looks great as a convertible but a little work still needs to be done about the look when the top is up. As for the price tag, I would much rather have engine up grades then the convertible top. Before I would buy any exterior or interior upgrades, I look into the cost vs HP gain for the same cost.

Wishful thinking would be that the Challenger convertible would be equally sturdy and reliable to drive like the coupe, regardless of what engine is under the hood. R/T Redline Trim Package, Mopar Scat Package #1, WeatherTech Floor Mats, Challenger Door Sills.

This is why the challenger looks stupid as a convertible. They would need to cut the hump towards the back down and flatten it out to make it look good (renderings do look decent), but it would make it even less safe. Convertible challenger mods are already stupidly unsafe due to removing so much structural support.

My first Challenger R/T was purchased in May 2009. Bought my second Chrysler 300 Limited for the "Mrs" in 2012. Then I bought my second Challenger Scat Pack in Sept 2016. (I'm still a Chevy-Guy, but mostly the Classics). Convertible tops on the Modern Challenger look good, but I'm over it now. We tried & tried to get the Mopar Exec's to put it ...

I had a 5th gen Camaro convertible and it was a great car. The top was almost always down, I always got great compliments on the car and it was one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever owned. Before I bought my first Challenger, I looked at the convertible Challenger conversions available and I honestly wasn't impressed.

I think a Challenger convertible would be freakin AWESOME! 2010 Torred R/T Classic, K&N CAI, Hurst short throw, Moroso catch can, Skip Shift Eliminator, WebElectric sequential tail lights, Stealth mud flaps, Mopar hood struts, stainless steel "Challenger" door sills, "HEMI 5.7 Liter" badge on trunk, Stebel 139DB horns and no end in sight to the ...

From my perspective, although I love riding in a convertible, I’d be nervous to drive it without a decent roll bar. I remember getting flipped by a truck on the interstate in my Grand Prix. My car slid about 100 feet on the roof, and because I had been knocked out, my head and shoulders were supporting the weight of my body on the headliner.
