Mullapudi Venkata Ramana (28 June 1931 – 24 February 2011) was an Indian writer known for his work in Telugu language. Noted for his humorous and metaphorical style of writing, Mullapudi received Raghupathi Venkaiah Award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1986 for his contributions to Telugu cinema and he also won six Nandi Awards.

Seethadevi published forty-four novels of which eight were translations of novels from Hindi (4), Bengali (Navajyoti - playlet) and English (3).she also wrote nine short-story collections, three essay collections and five children's stories.
Gurajada Venkata Apparao (21 September 1862 – 30 November 1915) was an Indian playwright, dramatist, poet, and writer known for his works in Telugu theatre. [1] [2] Rao wrote the play Kanyasulkam in 1892, which is considered as the greatest play in the Telugu language.
The other personalities that inspired him were Acharya N.G. Ranga, the father of the world peasant movement, Kaviraju Sri Tripuraneni Ramaswamy Chowdhary who was the father of the revolutionary poetry in Telugu literature, and Mahakavi Sri Chellapilla Venkata Sastry who brought Telugu poem from Royal palaces to common people in the society.
