I have to question the statement that the company name became De La Rue Company Limited PLC in 1958 - the "PLC" (Public Limited Company) designation only came into use around 1980 if I remember rightly - that was about the time that "Royal Bank of Scotland Limited" banknotes became "Royal Bank of Scotland plc" notes, anyway!
