In January 1960, the first capping ceremony of the college was held and by April 1962, thirty out of the forty-seven nursing students graduated and became the first class to receive the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. This pioneer class engendered a 100% passing mark in the nurses’ board exam that same year.
In 2010, Manila Doctors College was renamed into Manila Tytana Colleges. The same year, the new name was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), while the operative date of use was set to June 1, 2011. The College of Nursing, retaining the former name of the college, is now called Manila Doctors College of Nursing.

Chinese General Hospital Colleges is a medical school located in Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1921 as the Chinese General Hospital School of Nursing (CGHSN) . It is owned and managed by the Philippine Chinese Charitable Association (PCCA) Inc. as a non-profit service organization.
