Donald James Carter (July 29, 1926 – January 5, 2012) [1] was a right-handed American professional bowler. Born in St. Louis, Missouri , he learned the game while working a childhood job as a pinsetter , [ 2 ] and went on to become one of the legends of ten-pin bowling and a founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) in 1958.

Donald J. Carter (July 5, 1933 – February 14, 2018) was an American investor and businessman who was a founding owner of the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Dallas Sidekicks of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL).
Her second marriage was to bowler Don Carter, from 1953-64, by whom she had a son, Jim (1954). After her divorce in 1964, she moved to Las Vegas, where she lived until she moved to Florida in 2005. Don Carter State Park is a state park located in Hall County, Georgia, along the shores of Lake Lanier. It is the only state park along the shores of Lake Lanier. The park offers camping, hiking, and access to the adjacent lake, among other amenities. It was officially opened to the public in 2013. As of 2022, it is Georgia's newest state park. [1]

Don Carter (February 24, 1936 – November 15, 2024) was a Canadian professional hockey winger who played 639 games in the Eastern Hockey League with the Greensboro Generals from 1959 to 1973. Carter died in Stratford, Ontario on November 15, 2024, at the age of 86.
