Wild Brazil is a British nature documentary series, first broadcast on BBC Two and BBC Two HD in January 2014. Produced by the BBC Natural History Unit and narrated by Stephen Mangan, [1] the three-part series focuses on three animal families, one of tufted capuchins, one of giant otters and one of South American coatis, but also looks at other animals like jaguars.

The avifauna of Brazil include a total of 1860 confirmed species of which 238 are endemic. The name "Jaú" comes from that of one of the largest fish in Brazil, the gilded catfish or jau (Zungaro zungaro), after which the main river of the park is named. [1] The park is in the Amazon biome in the Japurá-Solimões-Negro moist forests ecoregion. [2] It covers an area of 2,367,333 hectares (5,849,810 acres).
