Kamikazee (or sometimes stylized as KMKZ) is a Filipino rock band formed in 2000. The band, originally known all throughout its career as a quintet, is currently composed of Jay Contreras (lead vocals), Jomal Linao (lead guitar and vocals), Led Tuyay (guitar), Puto Astete (bass), Bords Burdeos (drums), Jian Lubiano (guitar), and Mikki Jill (keyboards & vocals).

In May 2009 the album attained Double Platinum Award. [2] The song "First Day High" was used as a soundtrack to the movie with the movie First Day High. [3] [4]

"Drag" and "9" Of Pure Malice" were debuted on King Adora's May 2003 UK tour supporting the "Born To Lose/Kamikaze" single.The single was originally slated for a July 2003 release, which was later pushed back until November after the band signed to Discovery Recordings. [3]
