The "Kree–Skrull War" is a story arc that was written by Roy Thomas, and drawn by Sal Buscema, Neal Adams, and John Buscema.The story was originally published in the Marvel Comics comic book title Avengers #89–97 (June 1971 – March 1972).
The first comic of the story arc, Road to Empyre: The Kree–Skrull War, was announced in December 2019.The comic Road to Empyre was set for release in March 2020, but; it incorporated references to previous Marvel narratives, Kree–Skrull War and The Celestial Madonna from the 1970s, and the 2019 comic Meet the Skrulls.
