The 63rd Street Bathing Pavilion is a historic building in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Constructed in 1919, the pavilion is located at 63rd Street Beach in Jackson Park [1] in the Woodlawn community area. The building is Chicago's oldest beach house [2] and was designated as a Chicago Landmark on December 8, 2004. [3]
Beach volleyball is popular here. There is a beach house and concession stand, which opened in 2010. Unique among Lincoln Park's northern beaches there is no nearby parking lot. In the upper beach, north of Ardmore and the boardwalk, near Thorndale beach is a small park district beach grass reserve for migrating birds and butterflies.
Jackson Park is a 551.5-acre (223.2 ha) urban park on the shore of Lake Michigan on the South Side of Chicago.Straddling the Hyde Park, Woodlawn, and South Shore neighborhoods, the park was designed in 1871 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux and remodeled in 1893 to serve as the site of the World's Columbian Exposition.

Ohio Street Beach is an urban beach in Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. [1] [2] It faces north.[3] [4]In Lonely Planet's 2022 list of the nine "best beaches in Chicago for a taste of the lake life", Ximena N. Beltran Quan Kiu said Ohio Street Beach was the city's best for swimming.
