Jack Prelutsky (born September 8, 1940) is an American writer of children's poetry who has published over 50 poetry collections. He served as the first U.S. Children's Poet Laureate (now called the Young People's Poet Laureate) from 2006 to 2008 when the Poetry Foundation established the award.
Schools of poetry may be self-identified by the poets that form them (such as Imagism [22]) or defined by critics who see unifying characteristics of a body of work by more than one poet (for example The Movement). To be a 'school' a group of poets must share a common style or a common ethos.
"To This Day" is a 2011 spoken word poem written by Shane Koyczan. [1] [2] In the poem, Koyczan talks about bullying he and others received during their lives and its deep, long-term impact.
