"The Year of the Fin" is the first episode of the first season of the American period drama television series Magic City. It first aired on March 30, 2012 in the United States on Starz. "The Year of the Fin" was written by creator Mitch Glazer and directed by Carl Franklin.
The A.V. Club's Will Harris gave Castles Made of Sand a B grade, stating "As cable dramas go, Magic City still has a long way to go before it gets anywhere near the front of the pack, but while it’s trying to find its feet and – fingers crossed – actually carve an identity beyond just being the latest in the recent line of ‘60s-set drama, at least it’s worth watching."
