Location of Coombs in the Regional District of Nanaimo, British Columbia. Coombs is a small community on Vancouver Island in the Regional District of Nanaimo, British Columbia, situated on provincial highway 4A approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) west of Parksville.
The district was known as Nanaimo and the Islands from 1941 to 1963. It was formed of parts of the former ridings of Alberni-Nanaimo and The Islands.
