My fix was to get in my immersive aircraft mod plane and fly in big circles reloading all the chunks for the LoD myself because someone said you had to do it a second time on discord. Every chunk I've revisted loads fine in distant horizons now, but prior it looked like yours even with 3k render distance.
So I tried installing the mod but it doesn't seem to work - the chunks are only generated up until the point where they would usually be. I did notice that sometimes weird "chunks" are generated but they are out of place and generally not how it's meant to be (screenshots below).
ADMIN MOD • Fabulously Optimized with distant horizons 2.0? Question Just wanted to know if its possible to install/use Fabulously Optimized with Distant horizons 2.0, if its possible, how can i do such thing? i already tried somethings, but i couldn't get it to work.
However, my PC seems to have extreme issues while running it, consistently hitting 95-100% of the CPU. I tried using all the lowest settings and turned the render distance down from 50 to 16 and the distant horizon range to 64, but nothing changed. I even tried to run just distant horizon + iris for 1.20.1, and it had the exact same issues there.
I have Distant Horizons Version 2.1.0-a, they added a lot of compatibility with this one. Then I updated the built in shaders, ComplementaryReimagined_r5.1.1 to the latest version 5.2.1. The irony being I currently have my base underground! I've added an album with some more images, couldnt find a way to edit my post: ATM9 Distant Horizons Shaders
Playable alpha 1.4 of the Level Of Detail Mod for 1.16.5 is out. Now the mod render distance can reach 512 chunks. Join the discord if you have any question/suggestion!
Hello there! I'm really new here on reddit. Just wanted to ask a question: I'm trying to use the Distant Horizons mod with Fabric 1.18.2, but both on singleplayer and multiplayer I have to load the chunks to actually see them from very far away.
A place to discuss, share screenshots, or ask for help regarding the Distant Horizons LOD mod for Minecraft.
Wich is actually perfectly fine. Lowering the level of detail in distances is part of any open world game and I think implementing this system into minecraft in some form is not that difficult to achieve. The mod shows that it can be done without eating all frames. Maybe Mojang should add an option to activate low resolution distant chunks.
1.20.1, Tried with around 20 or so mods, and then after not being able to get it to work I tried running minecraft with the ONLY mods being DH and fabric api, and it still doesn't work. chunks don't generate at all, distant chunks are only visible after i load them in by going to them, I've tried turning most of the settings on and off but nothing seems to work. any idea how i could fix this?
