Ok, it took me All. Day. but you enter the 16 digit VBuck gift card info on the Fortnite site under the child's account. Take the new 25 digit code that it gives you, log into Xbox under the child's profile (do NOT go into Fortnite), go to the Microsoft store, open the menu on the side of the screen, go to redeem, enter the 25 digit code.
I mean if you say so Rage', I've had a similar experience with a PSN card purchased with Debit years back and they ruled in favor of me for the $20; it can go either way with neither you nor me knowing for certain, but I'd like to think Epic would be towards the consumer friendly side in a likely computer bot heavy microtransaction industry.
load up fortnite via xbox cloud as it is free, make sure your microsoft account is linked to your epic account. if you cannot do the above then steer clear from buying vbucks via microsoft and only purchase via epic store or in game.
Hello VinayakaShastr, you play Fortnite on PC, if you bought directly from Microsoft Store it will only appear if you log in to the Xbox console, and them they appear on PC, if playing only on the PC will not be validated. For those who play on the PC the items have to be purchased directly from the Epic store.
When I try to redeem Vbucks for the 2nd child, it has an * by the Xbox platform as non-selectable because its unlinked to EPIC... however, all attempts to upgrade the account, or link to xbox are unsuccessful and lead down a rabbit hole with denials due to existing account/email being in use.
