The computer runs XP, and the modern version of Lubuntu 18.04 super. A major problem for Vista was that the Hardware upon release was usually at 512 MB, or 1 GB, and is really unsatisfactory in running Windows Vista. Now, I am typing this on a 12 year old laptop with Windows Vista on it, (also dual boot Lubuntu 16.04.6 LTS).
