But the standard Reincarnate spell is looking a little basic these days, in light of all the playable races introduced since the core rulebooks came out. Does anyone have a custom Reincarnate table that includes all the playable races that have been introduced in official D&D sourcebooks to date?
Reincarnate vs. Raise Dead. Both 5th-level spells, reincarnation is druid-specific (plus Bard with secrets). Both 5th-level spells, reincarnation is druid-specific (plus Bard with secrets). In most cases, Raise Dead is better and more accessible: it’s half the cost (500 vs 1000 gp of materials), and you know what you are getting (which ...
I would probably allow Reincarnate to work in these circumstances. Finally, I wouldn't reduce your level to when the tooth was harvested. That sort of thing happened in older editions, but it doesn't mesh well with 5e in my opinion. 5e did away with level loss.
At this point, a strict reading of the Reincarnate spell says that I lose my variant human benefits and gain tiefling benefits. I was looking at the reincarnate table and it's kind of fascinating. 21% chance to be "another bloody elf", 20% chance to be a human, 17% chance to be a Dwarf, 16% chance to be a Halfling, 10% chance to Gnome, and 4% each for Dragonborn, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, and Tiefling d100 - Race: 01-04 Dragonborn 05-13 Dwarf, hill 14-21 Dwarf, Mountain
Raise Dead should work, as long as it's been less than 10 days. Reincarnate sort of works. The spells you mention would work. I am coming at this from the perspective that "being a zombie" doesn't change anything and standard "return to life" spells will work.

I don't think the rules of 5e make a clear statement on the matter. That means it works as you want it to. But, beware that you're setting a precedent, and that precedent can have repercussions. It may take some time to think about whether there are any ugly results of this that someone trying to "game the system" could generate.
